Congratulations to Coach Jamie Chomic, TeamSnap & Bauer Coach of the Year!
A Historic Win for EYHA: Jamie Chomic Named National Coach of the Year
The ice at Easton Youth Hockey Association (EYHA) is feeling a little more golden lately. We are beyond thrilled to celebrate Coach Jamie Chomic, who has officially been named the TeamSnap & Bauer Youth Hockey Coach of the Year!
This isn't just a win for Jamie; it’s a testament to the culture of excellence and character he has built within the Mavericks organization.
While the scoreboard matters, Coach Chomic’s impact stretches far beyond the blue line. He is known for putting in countless hours behind the scenes, meticulously studying film, providing individualized feedback, and obsessing over player development.
However, his true legacy lies in his philosophy. Jamie doesn’t just coach athletes; he mentors humans. He challenges his players to become the best versions of themselves both on and off the ice, earning the deep-seated respect of every player who wears the jersey and every parent in the stands.
The 2013 12U AA team didn't just have a "good" year—they had a historic one. Under Chomic’s leadership, the team achieved milestones that have set a new bar for the association:
Final Record: 39-14-5.
MHR: 88.02 (the highest ever recorded in EYHA history)
To celebrate the achievement, the hockey creator Nasher stopped by to present the award. As a perk of the honor, Coach Chomic and his players were hooked up with brand-new Bauer sticks and hoodies, ensuring the team looks just as sharp as they play.
"Coach Chomic represents the very best of youth sports. He pours his heart into these kids, and seeing that recognized on a national level by Bauer and TeamSnap is a proud moment for our entire community."
Jamie has been a cornerstone of the EYHA for several seasons, specifically dedicated to the 2013 birth-year teams. Please join us in congratulating Coach Chomic on this well-deserved honor.
Fly Mavericks! 🏒🏆
