The EYHA Columbus Mavericks have partnered with Nick Orioli Training to provide our teams and players with Strength & Conditioning Services. Nick Orioli is a CSCS who graduated from Ohio State in 2019 with a degree in Exercise Science. Nick spent five years with NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets as a Strength Coach and one year with MLB's St. Louis Cardinals. Since 2018, Nick has worked with hundreds of athletes and dozens of teams in Sports Performance & Speed Development.

Pertaining to this Partnership, Nick will be working with our teams on speed development, strength, activation routines, and recovery throughout both the off-season and in-season at Easton Chiller. Nick also operates out of a gym in Westerville and runs in-gym sports performance training along with local speed development sessions. Nick will be offering a 25% discount on ALL in-gym training, online training, speed development, camps, and merchandise to any CURRENT Mavericks Player year round as a part of this Partnership (Discount to take effect AFTER 2024-25 Tryouts).

EYHA Mavericks Select Hockey Interest Form

Mavericks 8U Green brought home first place in the Buffalo River Classic, finishing 8-0 for the weekend! Way to go!

The Mavericks High School Prep team went 4-0-1 on the weekend and were the champions of the Buffalo River Classic Tournament! Great job!

Mavericks 10U Green are the Irish South Bend Cup Tournament Champions! They went 4-0 on the weekend, beating the Midwest Blaze 7-2 in the final game!

Mavericks 12U Blue are the Irish South Bend Cup Tournament Champions! They won 4-3 in OT over the Miami Jr Red Hawks. What an incredible way to end the season!

Congrats to the Mavericks 10U Green team who were the Buckeye Travel Hockey League 10U AA champions! They went 3-0 on the weekend, defeated the Columbus (IN) Flames in the finals, and brought home the hardware! Awesome job!

The Mavericks 10U Blue team took down the previously undefeated #1 seed Findlay Trojans 2-0 to win their Metro Columbus Hockey League end-of-season tournament! The Mavs went 3-0 on the weekend and only gave up a single goal throughout those 3 games. Way to go!

FIVE Mavericks teams brought home the gold Presidents' Day weekend! Congrats to Syvret's 14U Green team, Leonard's 12U Blue team, Brooks' 10U Blue team, Greenblott's 12U Select team, and Donskov's 8U Select team. What an accomplishment!

Congratulations to Coach Cahill's 12U Mavs Green team who just clinched the top seed in the MCHL tournament by finishing league play at the top of their division!

Congrats to the 8U Mavericks Blue team and coaches David Hartwell, Ryan Park and Matt Girard, for winning the Buckeye Classic Championship for the 2015-2017 mixed age group, over MLK weekend. Way to go!

Coach Bogard's 16U team came away with the gold on Thanksgiving weekend after a 1-0 win vs. Olentangy Orange. Congrats!

Congrats to our silver medalists, Coach Yoder's 12U team, who won four out of five games at their tournament in Fremont this weekend!

Congrats to Coach Greenblott's 12U select team for bringing home the hardware and being the Tier 2 champs at the Rock and Roll cup! Go Mavs!

Congrats to coaches Jeremy Brooks, Rick Nash, and Weston Barrett and their 10U Blue team, who brought some hardware after their 5-4 OT win vs North Pittsburgh in the Three Rivers Cup!
