16U (Full Season)

EYHA offers full season 16U travel hockey through our exclusive partnership with the Columbus Mavericks. This team is for those players who are not on a AAA team and do not wish to play high school hockey. Players try out for this team typically in April. Players on this team are expected to have very high to excellent level of hockey skill and a desire to play hockey at a top skill level. A significant amount of travel and monetary commitment are expected at this level.

Players should expect to be on the ice 2-5 times per week, between practices and games during the season, as well as additional time spent in video review and off-ice training. Players of this level will receive high level coaching and guidance from the Columbus Mavericks, LLC as well as EYHA coaching staff. Practices will focus on all areas of skill development, on and off-ice workouts, leadership, sportsmanship and guidance to help them forge their future steps in hockey.

Players should expect to play games in front of junior level scouts and coaches at various points in the season to showcase their skill level and help them reach their goals. The goal of this team is to develop players who can transition to the Mavericks Premier team or to even higher levels of play.
