Select Coordinator
My name is Sue Lemmon, and I am excited to express my interest in serving as the Mavericks Select Coordinator.
Volunteerism and supporting youth sports have always been important to me. For the past three years, I have served as the Volunteer Team Manager for the Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey League (CBJHL), where I have worked closely with coaches, families, and league leadership to help create positive experiences for players and their families. As this is my son's first year with Mavericks Select, I would welcome the opportunity to give back to an organization that is investing in his growth both on and off the ice.
Outside of hockey, I currently serve as Vice-Chair of the Board for Girls on the Run of Central Ohio, where I help support organizational strategy, governance, and community engagement. Professionally, I work at JPMorgan Chase, where organization, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving are critical to my success. I am also an active member of the Columbus running community, serving as a volunteer race pacer for several local events and as a run coach, helping athletes achieve their goals through encouragement, planning, and accountability.
As Select Coordinator, I would bring a collaborative and organized approach to supporting our players, coaches, and families. My goal would be to help create a positive, well-organized experience that allows our coaches and players to focus on what matters most—development, teamwork, and a love for the game.
I am a strong believer that youth sports are about more than wins and losses—they are about developing character, teamwork, resilience, and lifelong friendships. I would be honored to help support the continued success and growth of the Mavericks Select program and the families who make it such a special community.
